Fixed-fee small claims advice
Small Claims Advice
Claims up to £10,000. Choose one, two or all three stages, so you know exactly what you will pay.
£10,000 is still a lot of money to most people.
Losing a sum like that if it is owed to you, or paying it when you do not think you should, can be a tremendous worry. As a general rule, solicitors' fees cannot be claimed back from your opponent in the Small Claims Court, so you may be reluctant to seek advice when you need it most.
We give cost-effective advice on the merits and preparation of your claim, or on defending one, and help you understand the process and what you need to do to give yourself the best prospects of success.
That is why we designed a fixed-fee service. Choose one stage, two stages or all three to suit your needs. You will know exactly what you are paying for, and can budget properly.

Good to know
In certain circumstances the court may list additional hearings for case management, to deal with applications or matters arising from the dispute. If you would like us to represent you at these hearings, this will be subject to a separate quote.
Because of the complexity of some matters, it may not always be possible to offer fixed-fee advice under this scheme. In that case we will give you a quote at the outset, before you incur any fees. The actual cost will depend on a number of factors, which we will discuss with you if you decide to instruct us.
- This work is handled by Gareth Edmondson and Alan Martin. Their experience is set out on the disputes page.
- A contested claim typically takes between 3 and 6 months.
- Court expenses are set out on the disputes and debt recovery page.
